Prom night is one of the most anticipated nights on the teen calendar. Filled with great expectations and grand designs but proms can ends up being more of a let down than a high point.
How can you keep your prom night memories from becoming nightmares? Here‘s some ideas.
How much ? Proms are expensive. By
the time you have paid for tickets, bought an outfit and arranged
transportation you are easily into a couple of hundreds pounds. It's
lovely to be a little spoilt for just one night but if the budget does
not allow then look to borrowing. You'd be surprised how many "once
worn" prom dresses are lurking in cupboards, waiting for another change
to go out to a fancy evening.
Don't spend a bomb on shoes, especially if your wearing a long dress, - you won't see them !
Try
borrowing an outfit from an older friend or hire from a shop. Hire a
tuxedo from a shop, you don’t need to buy a tuxedo, it probably won’t
fit you in the next couple of months and do you have anywhere else to
wear it?
Don't buy your dress off the internet, there's every possibility that it will disappoint you:
a. fabric, colour and finish is poor quality - often looking nothing like the picture. b. the dress doesn't fit and it's hassle sending it back and getting a refund. c. you wait weeks for the refund
